গাজায় দেড় মাস ধরে চলা ফিলিস্তিনি আক্রমণের অবসানে বড় অগ্রগতি হয়েছে। ইসরায়েলের মন্ত্রিসভা চারদিনের যুদ্ধবিরতির প্রস্তাব অনুমোদন করেছে।

পূর্ব জেরুজালেম থেকে আল-জাজিরার সংবাদদাতা হামদাহ সালহুত বলেছেন, ইসরায়েলি মন্ত্রিসভা অনুমোদিত প্রস্তাব অনুযায়ী ফিলিস্তিনের স্বাধীনতাকামী সংগঠন হামাস তাদের হাতে আটক প্রায় ৫০ জিম্মিকে মুক্তি দেবে। বিনিময়ে ইসরাইল অবরুদ্ধ গাজা উপত্যকায় সাময়িকভাবে হামলা বন্ধ করবে।

৭ অক্টোবর থেকে ইসরাইল গাজা দখল করে নির্বিচারে বোমা হামলা চালাচ্ছে। তারা গাজায় স্থল অভিযানও চালাচ্ছে।

এই প্রস্তাবে মধ্যস্থতা করেছে কাতার।

বুধবার যুদ্ধবিরতির প্রস্তাব অনুমোদনের খবর পাওয়া গেছে।

Hamdah Salhut, Al-Jazeera's correspondent from East Jerusalem, said that according to the proposal approved by the Israeli Cabinet, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas will release about 50 hostages held by them. In return, Israel will temporarily stop attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, Israel has been occupying Gaza and carrying out indiscriminate bombings. They are also conducting ground operations in Gaza.

Qatar mediated the proposal.

The ceasefire proposal was approved on Wednesday.
